The IBM 80P4544 is a feature 5716, 2Gbps single-port PCI-X Fibre Channel host bus adapter with an LC connector, CCIN 280B, also cross-referenced as 80P4543, 03N6441 and 03N7069, for IBM’s pSeries and Power Systems range. It provides a single 2Gb/s Fibre Channel port for attaching a host to SAN storage. The card family also goes by the internal name Flipper-X.

FC5716 adapters remain in service across a number of established SAN-attached Unix/AIX deployments, and a genuine HBA is the standard way to restore SAN connectivity after a card failure or add a second fabric path for redundancy. Confirm your exact host system and PCI-X slot type before ordering.
