The IBM 80P6707 is a 1.65GHz 2-way POWER5 DCM processor backplane, the same board family as the IBM 80P6958 processor backplane elsewhere in our range, built for the IBM eServer p5/pSeries 9111-520 server. It carries the system’s two POWER5 processor cores on a single dual chip module and is fitted as the machine’s processor complex, giving the 9111-520 its compute capacity.

The p5-520 remains a common legacy Unix/AIX platform still found in a number of established data-centre environments, and a matched processor backplane is the standard field replaceable unit for restoring a failed processor complex or upgrading a single-way system to a 2-way configuration. Confirm the exact 9111-520 build and memory riser combination before ordering, since processor backplanes are matched to specific clock speeds.
