The Marconi 1HAM60833AAA is a 2 Mbit/s line termination unit for the Marconi SMA transmission range. It terminates E1 tributaries at the shelf, presenting the 2 Mbit/s circuits to the multiplexer and handling the line side matching and connectorisation for those circuits.

Line termination units sit between the external cabling and the traffic cards, so they take the wear from repeated patching and are one of the more frequently replaced items in a long lived SMA installation. The 1HAM prefix groups the shelf level assemblies in this range rather than the plug-in traffic cards. Marconi’s transmission portfolio transferred to Ericsson in 2006 and the SMA range is documented under Ericsson today. Supplied refurbished.
