The 3Com Switch 5500G-EI 48-Port (3CR17251-91) is the high-density member of the 5500G-EI range, providing 48 fixed 10/100/1000 ports plus 4 dual-personality Gigabit/SFP ports and one expansion module slot for Gigabit or 10-Gigabit uplinks.

It delivers 240 Gbps of switching capacity with a 16,000-entry MAC address table, supports OSPF, RIP, IGMP and PIM-SM/DM for advanced Layer 3 routing, and stacks up to eight units (448 ports) via 3Com XRN technology for single-IP management.
