The Marconi 219-0012-000 is the ESR Routing Switch Series II (SII) Supervisor card for the Marconi (Ericsson-Marconi) ESR-5000/6000 platform, also carrying the alternative part numbers 520-0063-003 and 530-0063-094. As the supervisor, it carries the switch fabric arbitration and system management functions for the chassis, coordinating the platform’s 10/100Base-TX, 1000Base-SX and ATM OC-3/OC-12 interface modules rather than terminating traffic itself. The ESR-5000/6000 Series II line was marketed under the Ericsson-Marconi name in the late stage of Marconi’s transmission and routing business, and chassis built on this platform are still found in older telecom and enterprise routing deployments.
