The Marconi 1HAM60778ABH is a triple-feed power line termination unit, marked to the GPT standard, for Marconi’s SMA range of SDH add/drop multiplexers. It brings three separate DC power feeds into the shelf for redundancy, the “GPT standard” marking a direct link to the SMA platform’s origins in GEC-Plessey Telecommunications before Marconi’s later ownership.

Marconi’s SMA family, inherited from GPT and Plessey, is a subrack of plug-in units: line termination units, power feed cards such as this one, optical STM interfaces, a system controller and alarm cards. Marconi’s 2006 collapse ended factory support, so every SMA site still in service is maintained from secondary-market spares.
