Huawei TN11DCU03 Quidway/CX600 routing, S-series switching, OSN DWDM transmission Optical Transmission Module

The Huawei TN11DCU03 is a dispersion compensation unit for the OptiX OSN 6800 and OSN 8800 WDM platforms, sized to compensate approximately 60 km of G.652 standard single-mode fibre. It is one of the longer units in the family and suits a full inter-site span rather than the short trimming corrections the 5 km and 10 km units are used for.

The unit is passive, built around dispersion compensating fibre whose dispersion has the opposite sign to the transmission fibre, so the pulse spreading accumulated across the span is undone before the signal reaches the receiver. Because that fibre also introduces loss, the module normally sits between the two stages of a dual-stage optical amplifier where the second stage restores the level.

Compensation is matched to the route rather than to the equipment, so the accumulated dispersion of the actual span decides the unit. Tech-Star is UK-based and ships worldwide. Tell us the span length and fibre type and we will confirm the right unit.
