The Enterasys N-POE-1200W is a 1200 Watt Power over Ethernet power module for the Matrix N-Series chassis range, fitting the dedicated POE bays on N5 and N7 systems. It supplies 48VDC power to DFE-series switch modules that support IEEE 802.3af PoE, allowing those modules to feed powered endpoints directly over the same Ethernet cabling used for data.

A single N-POE-1200W can provide up to seven 48VDC PoE feeds to compliant DFE modules installed in the chassis. When a second unit is fitted and total PoE demand stays under 1200 Watts, the two supplies share the load and provide power redundancy, so PoE delivery continues if one supply fails.
