The Cisco NM-1T3/E3 is a 1-port T3/E3 network module, a full-width NM-slot card fitted to Cisco 2600/3600/3700-series routers to add a single channelised or clear-channel T3 (US, 45 Mbit/s) or E3 (international, 34 Mbit/s) WAN interface, field-selectable between the two standards via IOS configuration rather than requiring separate hardware. It served high-bandwidth WAN aggregation and leased-line roles in the era before Gigabit Ethernet WAN became standard, and remains a routine requirement in installed-base routers still carrying a T3/E3 circuit. Confirm your router’s NM slot type and required framing (channelised vs clear-channel) before ordering.
