D-Link DSL-504 ADSL router with built-in 4-port 10/100 Ethernet switch and RJ-11 ADSL WAN connection.
The D-Link DSL-504 is an ADSL router combining a 4-port 10/100 Ethernet switch with a built-in ADSL modem, connecting a LAN to an ADSL line through a standard RJ-11 telephone connection rather than a separate external modem. It was designed for small office and home office use, giving a single box internet gateway plus local switching for up to four wired devices.
On the WAN side it supports Bridged Ethernet over ATM (RFC1483), IP over ATM (RFC1577) and PPP over ATM (RFC2364), with up to eight Virtual Circuit Connections, PPPoE and PPPoA connection modes, and data rates up to 8Mbps downstream. On the LAN side it provides NAT, a DHCP server, IP filtering, and RIP-1/RIP-2 route exchange, running on an ARM-based CPU with 16MB RAM and 2MB flash.
It’s a good match for organisations maintaining an existing D-Link DSL series ADSL estate who need matching hardware for expansion, redundancy or like-for-like replacement. Tech-Star (UK-based, shipped worldwide) checks every router before it ships. Get in touch to confirm compatibility with your ADSL broadband connection.
