The Emulex LP9802 is a single port 2 Gbit/s Fibre Channel host bus adapter on a 133 MHz PCI-X interface, with embedded multimode optics terminated in an LC connector. Embedded optics mean the transceiver is fitted to the board rather than presented as a removable GBIC or SFP, so the card is ordered for the fibre type it already carries and cannot be converted to single mode later.

It negotiates at 2 or 1 Gbit/s. The LP9802 was a mainstream server side adapter throughout the 2 Gbit/s era and is still found in storage attached servers that have stayed on their original fabric. Unlike the E suffixed versions this is the standard Emulex build rather than an array vendor variant, so check what firmware your storage requires before ordering. Refurbished.
