The Emulex LP9002DC-E is a dual channel 2 Gbit/s Fibre Channel host bus adapter on a 64 bit, 66 MHz PCI interface, supplied with EMC firmware. DC denotes the dual channel build, giving two Fibre Channel ports from a single slot, and the E ending marks the EMC variant that an EMC array and PowerPath will accept as a supported adapter.

The LP9002 family is the 2 Gbit/s generation on conventional PCI rather than PCI-X, so it suits older servers whose slots predate PCI-X entirely. Two ports over a 66 MHz PCI bus will not both run at full rate at the same time, which is why cards of this type were usually fitted for path redundancy rather than for aggregate bandwidth.
