The HP JD375-61201 is an HP A5500-48EI Switch, part of the A-series line HP built on the H3C-developed switching platform it acquired via 3Com in 2010, offering 48 Gigabit Ethernet ports in the enterprise-image (EI) configuration with the fuller Layer 3 routing and enterprise feature set compared to the standard-image (SI) variant. The A5500-EI series is positioned as a full-featured access or aggregation-layer switch for mid-size enterprise networks needing VLAN routing, multicast and advanced QoS beyond what a basic access switch provides.
