The Marconi 1HAM60531AAB is the Shelf 4B DC power supply unit for the Marconi SMA synchronous digital hierarchy range. It takes the exchange minus 48 volt feed presented at the subrack and converts it to the regulated rails the traffic cards in that shelf need, distributing them across the backplane.

Shelves are normally fitted with a pair of these so that either unit can carry the load on its own, which is why a single replacement is the usual requirement rather than a full set. It is a plug-in unit and sits alongside the display module in the same 4B shelf. The Marconi transmission portfolio moved to Ericsson in 2006 and is documented under that name today.
