The MRV TM-DXFP8/33 is a 10 Gigabit DWDM transponder module for the LambdaDriver chassis, taking a client signal on an XFP access port and converting it to a fixed DWDM wavelength for transport up to 80 km.

A transponder of this kind isolates the client optics from the line optics: the client side plugs in a standard short reach XFP while the line side emits a wavelength on the ITU grid that the multiplexer can combine with others onto a single fibre pair. The channel is set by the module variant, so the specific wavelength should be matched to the mux and the rest of the channel plan before ordering.
