MRV EM800-DMUX8R: eight-channel DWDM demultiplexer, channels 21 to 35, for the LambdaDriver LD800.

The MRV EM800-DMUX8R is an eight-channel DWDM demultiplexer module for the LambdaDriver LD800 chassis, covering ITU channels 21 to 35. It splits the combined DWDM signal arriving on the line fibre back into its individual wavelengths so that each can be passed to its own transponder or client port.

It is the LD800 equivalent of the EM1600-DMUX8R and pairs with the matching multiplexer at the far end of the span, the two normally being ordered as a set. The LD800 is the eight-channel chassis in MRV’s LambdaDriver WDM family, with eleven general module slots and a reserved management slot. MRV Communications’ optical transport business was acquired by ADVA Optical Networking in 2017. Tech-Star is UK-based and ships worldwide.
