MRV EM1600-MUX8R: eight-channel 200 GHz DWDM multiplexer, channels 21 to 35, for the LambdaDriver LD1600.

The MRV EM1600-MUX8R is an eight-channel DWDM multiplexer module for the LambdaDriver LD1600 chassis, covering ITU channels 21 to 35 on 200 GHz spacing. It combines eight separate wavelengths onto a single line fibre so that eight independent services share one fibre pair between sites.

The 200 GHz plan leaves a wider guard band between channels than the denser 100 GHz grid, which eases the wavelength tolerance required of the transponders feeding it. The matching EM1600-DMUX8R demultiplexer covers the same channel block at the far end and the pair is normally deployed together. The LD1600 chassis supports up to sixteen channels in total. MRV Communications was taken over by ADVA Optical Networking in 2017. Tech-Star is UK-based and ships worldwide.
