HP NC7771: single-port Gigabit Ethernet PCI-X server network adapter.

The HP NC7771 is a single-port Gigabit Ethernet PCI-X server network adapter, built for HP ProLiant servers of the PCI-X generation (predating the later PCIe NC-series cards such as the NC382T). It provides a single copper Gigabit Ethernet port on a PCI-X 64-bit/133MHz card, giving an older ProLiant server an additional or replacement network interface without needing a motherboard-level NIC upgrade. Cards of this generation remain useful for keeping legacy PCI-X ProLiant servers in service, whether as a spare for a failed onboard NIC or as extra network capacity for a server handling more than one VLAN or network segment. It is not compatible with PCIe-only server chassis, which need the later NC-series PCIe adapters instead. Tech-Star is UK-based and ships worldwide.
