Netgear GSM7224: ProSafe 24-port 10/100/1000 managed switch.

The Netgear GSM7224 is a ProSafe managed switch with 24 gigabit ports, four of them shared with SFP slots so fibre modules can replace copper on the uplinks.

Unlike the smart switch tier it carries a full managed feature set with a command line as well as a web interface, covering 802.1Q VLANs, rapid and multiple spanning tree, link aggregation, quality of service, access control lists, IGMP snooping, port security and SNMP. The non-blocking switching fabric forwards at wire speed on all ports at once, which matters when 24 gigabit ports are genuinely in use rather than merely fitted. It occupies 1U.

The GSM7224R and the Layer 3 GSM7324 are its closest relatives, and modules and optics are shared across the family.
