MRV OS906/AC-1: OptiSwitch 906 carrier Ethernet access switch, six tri-mode SFP or RJ45 ports, AC powered.

The MRV OS906/AC-1 is an OptiSwitch 906 carrier Ethernet access switch with six tri-mode ports and an AC power supply. Each port takes either a 100FX or 1000FX SFP or an RJ45 copper connection at 10/100/1000BaseT, so the same unit can terminate fibre from the network side and copper towards the customer.

The OptiSwitch 900 family was built for service demarcation at the customer edge, providing per-service policing, OAM and performance monitoring on Ethernet services delivered over a metro network. The /AC-1 suffix identifies the single AC feed build rather than the DC-powered version. MRV Communications was acquired by ADVA Optical Networking in 2017 and the OptiSwitch line passed with it.
