The Cisco WS-C2924-XL-EN is a Catalyst 2924XL fixed-configuration switch, Enterprise Edition, with 24 10/100 auto-sensing Fast Ethernet ports and a modular uplink slot for an optional Fast or Gigabit Ethernet uplink card. It is the full-density 24-port member of the 2900XL family, and the Enterprise Edition firmware on the -EN variant adds ISL and 802.1Q VLAN trunking, CGMP and fuller SNMP/RMON management over the Standard image, making it suitable for switched multi-VLAN wiring closets. The 2900XL range was widely deployed through the late 1990s and early 2000s and genuine spares remain in routine demand for legacy networks and lab/training environments still running on that hardware base. Confirm the uplink module fitted (or required) before ordering, since 2900XL uplink cards are chassis-specific. This is a refurbished unit, shipped worldwide from Tech-Star’s UK stock.
