The Cisco WS-C1924-EN-DC is a Catalyst 1900 Series fixed-configuration switch, Enterprise Edition, with 24 10BaseT ports, built with a DC power input rather than the standard AC supply. It shares the same port configuration and Enterprise Edition firmware (ISL VLAN trunking, CGMP, extended SNMP/RMON management) as the standard WS-C1924-EN, but the DC-powered variant was aimed at telco central-office, cabinet or other DC-plant environments where mains AC is not the standard power source. This makes it a specific-purpose spare: a standard AC-powered 1924-EN is not a substitute where DC power is the only option available at the installation site. It remains a working spare for legacy DC-powered Catalyst 1900 deployments still in service. Confirm your site’s DC voltage/polarity convention before ordering.
