The Cisco PWR-3825-AC is an AC power supply for the Cisco 3825 integrated services router, part of the 3800 series ISR platform used in branch-office and enterprise-edge deployments running routing, security, voice and WAN aggregation services together on one router. The 3825 supports an optional second power supply for AC redundancy, and the PWR-3825-AC is the correct field-replaceable unit for restoring power after a supply failure or for fitting a redundant second supply on a chassis that currently runs single-fed. It is a routine spare for sites maintaining 3800 series routers already in service, where availability of mains power at the router is more practical to fix locally than swapping the whole chassis.
