The HP 447047-B21 is a 1/10Gb-F Virtual Connect Flex-10 Ethernet module for HP’s BladeSystem c-Class enclosures, an interconnect bay module that lets each blade’s physical 10Gb port be carved into up to four independent FlexNICs, so a single physical NIC can present as several virtual network connections with individually configured bandwidth. Virtual Connect also abstracts the blade’s MAC addresses and network profile at the enclosure level, so a failed blade can be swapped for a spare without having to reconfigure upstream switch ports or re-address the server. It installs in a c7000 or c3000 enclosure’s interconnect bay alongside the blades’ network mezzanine cards. Tech-Star is UK-based and ships worldwide.
