Marconi 131-9044/01: power supply asynchronous interface module for Marconi MSH SDH systems.

The Marconi 131-9044/01 is an interface module for the power supply’s asynchronous interface, part of Marconi’s MSH family of SDH digital cross-connects and multiplexers. It provides the connection between the shelf’s power supply unit and its asynchronous control/alarm signalling path, a supporting interconnect card rather than a traffic-bearing one.

The MSH range (MSH64C, MSH80, MSH84 and MSH86 among the variants) is built around a switching matrix surrounded by tributary and aggregate interface cards, with power and interconnect modules such as this one keeping the shelf’s supporting systems working correctly. Marconi’s 2006 collapse ended factory support, so the installed base is maintained from secondary-market spares.
