The Polycom 2201-16050-122 is the universal power module for the SoundStation2 conference phone. On this range the power module is not a simple adapter: it sits between the console and the wall, taking mains power in on one side and the analogue telephone line on the other, and feeds both down the single cable that runs to the console.

That is why a SoundStation2 will not work from a generic supply of the right voltage, and why a missing power module is the most common reason a working console appears dead. The universal designation refers to the mains input range; the country lead is a separate item. Polycom joined Plantronics in 2018, became Poly, and was acquired by Hewlett Packard in 2022.
