The HP 407296-001 is an Onboard Administrator module for HP’s BladeSystem c7000 blade enclosure, the earlier hardware revision of the OA module that provides the enclosure’s centralised power, thermal and configuration management, predating the later KVM-option and DDR2-revision modules also stocked by Tech-Star. A c7000 enclosure needs at least one Onboard Administrator to be centrally managed and monitored, and can run a second for redundancy; this module is a like-for-like replacement for sites running the original OA hardware revision who want to avoid mixing revisions in a redundant pair.
