The Enterasys VHIM100-S2MFX is a 100Base-FX fibre uplink module for the Vertical Horizon (VH) switch series, fitting the optional expansion slots on switches such as the VH-2402S2, and terminating over multimode fibre via SC connectors.

It provides a fixed fibre interface for connecting a VH-series access switch back to a fibre backbone or another switch over multimode cabling, extending reach beyond the distance limits of copper Ethernet where a run is too long for twisted-pair.
