Huawei CX61SFU40C1: switch fabric unit (SFU) card for the CX600 metro services platform.

The Huawei CX61SFU40C1 is a switch fabric unit for the CX600 metro services platform. The SFU is the card that actually moves traffic between line processing units inside the chassis: every packet arriving on one interface board crosses the fabric to reach its outgoing board, so fabric capacity sets the ceiling on what the router as a whole can forward.

CX600 chassis take several fabric units running in a load-sharing arrangement, which means a failed unit reduces capacity rather than stopping the router, and it also means fabric cards are usually held as spares by operators running the platform in a revenue-carrying role. The CX600 sits in Huawei’s carrier routing range for metro aggregation and business services, not in the OptiX optical transmission line.

Fabric capacity and chassis support vary across the CX600 models, so confirm the chassis variant and the software release. Tech-Star is UK-based and ships worldwide. Contact our sales team to confirm the card against your installation.
