The Marconi 1HAK60702ACG is an STM-16 receive optical interface card, 1300nm, for Marconi’s SMA range of SDH add/drop multiplexers. It provides the 2.5 Gbit/s optical receive path into the shelf’s aggregate stage at the 1300nm wavelength window, a sibling of the L16.1 1310nm variant found elsewhere in the same 1HAK part-number block.

Marconi’s SMA family, inherited from GPT and Plessey, is a subrack of plug-in units: line termination units at the PDH rates, optical STM-1 and STM-16 interfaces such as this one, a system controller, alarm cards and power feeds. Marconi’s 2006 collapse ended factory support, so every SMA site still in service is maintained from secondary-market spares.
