The Polycom 2201-44300-001 is the CX500, a desktop IP telephone built for Microsoft Office Communications Server and Lync. It is a common area phone rather than a full featured desk set: it signs in against the Lync or OCS directory, shows presence and calendar data from the server, and is aimed at lobbies, meeting rooms and shared spaces where a personal handset would not be assigned.

Power comes over Ethernet, and the phone runs Microsoft firmware rather than SIP, so it depends on that server platform rather than working as a generic SIP endpoint. Both Office Communications Server and Lync are long past mainstream support, which is why these handsets are now bought as spares for surviving deployments.
