The Polycom 2201-32530-001 is the CX300, a USB desk telephone for Microsoft Office Communications Server and Lync. Unlike a standalone IP phone it has no network port of its own: it plugs into a PC over USB and acts as the audio device and dial pad for the softphone client running there, which puts a proper handset and keypad in front of a user who would otherwise be working through a headset.

The display mirrors call state from the client and the unit is powered from the USB connection. It depends on the Microsoft client being installed, so it is not a generic SIP endpoint and will not register to a PBX on its own. The Polycom name passed to Plantronics in 2018, then to the Poly brand, and finally to Hewlett Packard in 2022. Tech-Star holds this line in the UK and ships internationally.
