MRV EM1600-DMUX8R: eight-channel 200 GHz DWDM demultiplexer, channels 21 to 35, for the LambdaDriver LD1600.

The MRV EM1600-DMUX8R is an eight-channel DWDM demultiplexer module for the LambdaDriver LD1600 chassis, covering ITU channels 21 to 35 on 200 GHz spacing. It takes the combined DWDM signal off the line fibre and separates the individual wavelengths so that each can be handed to its own transponder or client port.

Two hundred gigahertz spacing gives a wider guard band than the denser 100 GHz plan, which relaxes the wavelength stability requirement on the optics at either end. It pairs with the matching EM1600-MUX8R multiplexer covering the same channel block, and the two are normally ordered together. The LD1600 carries up to sixteen channels.
