The Enterasys ELS100-SMGMT is a SmartStack Management Module, a slide-in card providing SNMP agent functionality for SmartSTACK ELS100-series switches such as the ELS100-S24TX2M, including an RS-232 serial port for local console management.

Fitted into the switch’s management slot, it turns a standalone SmartSTACK unit, or a stack of them, into an SNMP-manageable device. Firmware version 2.01.04.01 or later is required when the module is running on hardware revision 0F or greater; it was later succeeded by the VH-SMGMT2 module.
