The Enterasys ELS100-STACK is a rear-panel stacking module for the Enterasys (Cabletron) SmartSTACK ELS100-S24TX2M Fast Ethernet switch. It fits the lower-left slot on the rear of the switch chassis and should not be installed in any other slot, connecting via 68-pin SCSI-style stack cables to neighbouring units.

Once fitted, the module links up to four ELS100-S24TX2M switches together over a 4 Gbps high-speed backplane, allowing the stack to be managed and to forward traffic as a single logical switch rather than as separate units. This is the standard way Enterasys extended port density on the ELS100 platform without adding routing hops between switches.
