The Enterasys 7G4282-41 is a Matrix N-Series Platinum DFE module with 40 fixed 10/100/1000Base-TX RJ-45 ports and one additional expansion module slot. It fits into a Matrix E7 or N-Series chassis, giving high port density for edge and distribution roles.

As part of the Platinum DFE range, the 7G4282-41 targets high-density network edge, collapsed backbone, distribution and server aggregation applications, using Enterasys’s nTERA switching architecture for wire-speed Layer 2/3 performance. Its extra expansion slot allows a further Gigabit or fibre module to be added for uplink flexibility.
