The Comtech DT-4513 is a wideband Ku-band satellite downconverter from Comtech’s DT-4500 series, converting an incoming Ku-band signal down to a standard IF output for a satellite modem or receiver, with a high output level suited to driving multiple downstream devices or long IF cable runs. It is built around a synthesized local oscillator for stable, low phase-noise frequency translation and designed for rack mounting in the receive RF chain of a satellite earth station or teleport, sitting between the Ku-band LNB and the demodulator. Comtech’s DT-45xx series downconverters were a standard fixture in commercial and government Ku-band ground stations, valued for wide instantaneous bandwidth and clean output.
