Enterasys G3-PWR Matrix/S-Series/X-Series networking Power Supply

The Enterasys G3-PWR is a 400W power supply module for the Matrix G3 chassis. The G-Series sits at the workgroup end of the Matrix range, and the G3 chassis accepts a redundant pair of these supplies so the switch can keep forwarding through the loss of one unit and the failed module can be exchanged without powering the chassis down. The 400W rating covers a fully populated G3 chassis, which is lower than the draw of the larger Matrix N-series and X-Series systems, so supplies are not interchangeable across those platforms despite the shared Matrix name. The module is hot-swappable and carries its own cooling, so a fan failure is reported as a power supply fault and resolved by replacing the whole assembly. This range traces back to Cabletron Systems, became Enterasys in 2001 and passed to Extreme Networks in 2013.
