The Enterasys SK1208-0808-F6 is an S150 class input and output fabric module for the S-Series chassis switches, combining eight 10 Gigabit ports with switching fabric on a single card. The eight ports are 10GBASE-X and take SFP+ optics, so the module can be populated for short reach copper or a range of fibre distances as the deployment requires.

Two Type 2 option slots on the card carry additional interface modules, which is how the S-Series scales port count without consuming another fabric slot. Fabric capacity is quoted at 1280 Gbit/s in a load sharing arrangement, meaning several modules in one chassis share the forwarding load rather than one acting as a standby. It fits the S4 and S8 chassis. Enterasys was the name Cabletron Systems gave its enterprise division in 2001, and Extreme Networks acquired that business in 2013.
