The Enterasys 7C107 is the Matrix N7 chassis, a modular 7-slot switching platform built for high-density enterprise core and distribution deployments. It supports hot-swappable power supplies and a single fan tray, and is designed to house Enterasys’s DFE (Distributed Forwarding Engine) 7xxx series line cards.

The Matrix N7 delivers an aggregate performance of 94.5 Mpps and can scale total system switching capacity up to 1.68 Tbps, with interswitch links supporting 20 to 80 Gbps depending on configuration. Total available power across the chassis reaches 4,800 watts, enough to support Class 2 PoE on every populated port simultaneously. The N7 chassis supports only the newer 7xxx-series DFE modules, not the older 6x1xx/6x2xx/6x3xx module families.
