The Enterasys VHIM1000-S1SX is a single-port 1000Base-SX gigabit fibre uplink module from the Vertical Horizon (VH) expansion module range, fitting the optional slide-in slots on VH-series switches such as the VH-2402S2.

It terminates over multimode fibre via an SC connector, giving a VH-series access switch a fixed gigabit fibre path back to a core switch or backbone, in place of the copper uplink options also available for the same expansion slot.
