The Enterasys ELH-ULSW-TX is the copper counterpart to the ELH-ULSW-F2 fibre uplink module, providing a slide-in uplink port for ELH-series switches over twisted-pair Ethernet rather than fibre.

It is used where the uplink run to the backbone or another switch is within copper distance limits, avoiding the cost of fibre patch cabling and media converters that a fibre uplink module would otherwise require.
