Enterasys VH-2402S2: Vertical Horizon 24-port 10/100 stackable Fast Ethernet switch.

The Enterasys VH-2402S2 is a Vertical Horizon Fast Ethernet switch with 24 dual speed 10BASE-T and 100BASE-TX ports, usable standalone, stacked or rack mounted.

Two rear panel slots take optional slide-in uplink modules in 100BASE-FX, 1000BASE-SX or 1000BASE-LX, so the uplink media is chosen to suit the building rather than fixed at purchase, and a further rear slot accepts the VH-SMGMT2 SNMP management module that brings the switch and its stack under browser and SNMP control. Without that module the unit runs unmanaged. Stacking is what the design is really about: several units cabled together and administered as one, the affordable alternative to a chassis in a wiring closet.
