The Cabletron FE100-TX is a Fast Ethernet interface module supplying 100BASE-TX connectivity for Cabletron’s modular MMAC-series hub and switch chassis. It installs directly into a chassis media slot to add wired Fast Ethernet ports to the platform.
The module operates at 100 Mbps over twisted pair cabling and is part of the same interface-module family as Cabletron’s 100BASE-FX fibre variants, sharing the same chassis mounting and management interface. It was a standard building block for extending Ethernet port density on Cabletron hub and switch chassis during the MMAC and SmartSwitch generations.
