The Cabletron 6H202-24 is a 24 port Fast Ethernet module for the Matrix E6 and E7 chassis, presenting 10/100BASE-TX on RJ45 over unshielded twisted pair. It is a straightforward density card: the ports auto negotiate speed and duplex and are intended for desktop and edge attachment, with the chassis providing power, backplane switching and management rather than the module carrying its own.

Cards of this type were the bulk of a Matrix deployment, with Gigabit uplink modules in the remaining slots carrying aggregated traffic back to a core. The E6 and E7 differ mainly in slot count and modules are common across both. This family began at Cabletron Systems, moved to Enterasys in 2001 and became part of Extreme Networks in 2013.
