The Cabletron 9E132-15 is an Ethernet switch extension module for the MMAC-Plus chassis, sold under the MicroLAN switching name. MicroLAN was the Cabletron term for giving small groups of users their own switched Ethernet segment rather than a shared hub port, and modules in this group extended that switching capacity across a chassis already in service.

Ports operate at 10 Mbit/s, and the chassis supplies power, backplane connectivity and management rather than the module carrying its own. Cards of this generation were normally deployed alongside a management module in the same shelf. The exact port configuration varies across the 9E132 group, so it is worth confirming against the unit before ordering.
