The Cabletron SSR-GSX11-02 is a two port Gigabit Ethernet line card for the SmartSwitch Router chassis, presenting 1000BASE-SX over multimode fibre. SX is the short wavelength optic and is multimode only, which in practice limits a link to a few hundred metres and makes these cards the in building choice, with the long wavelength LX cards used where single mode fibre runs between buildings.

Like the rest of the range the card forwards traffic in hardware on a flow basis under tables supplied by the chassis control module, rather than routing in software. The platform was later renamed X-Pedition, a change of name rather than of owner. The line ran from Cabletron Systems to Enterasys in 2001 and on to Extreme Networks, which bought Enterasys in 2013.
