The Cabletron TPMIM-24 is a 24 port twisted pair media interface module for the MMAC modular hub, presenting 10BASE-T on 24 RJ45 sockets. MIMs are the line cards of the MMAC system: the chassis provides power, the backplane channels and the management, and each MIM contributes ports of one media type, so a single hub could mix twisted pair, fibre and coaxial segments by choosing modules.

At 24 ports this was the high density twisted pair option and the mainstay of desktop connection in an MMAC deployment. Ports attach directly with standard station cabling rather than needing a telco harness. This family began at Cabletron Systems, moved to Enterasys in 2001 and became part of Extreme Networks in 2013. Tech-Star is UK based and ships worldwide.
