Single port 10BASE-T RJ45 Ethernet port interface module (EPIM) for Cabletron hosts.

The Cabletron EPIM-T is an Ethernet port interface module providing a single 10BASE-T port on an RJ45 socket over unshielded twisted pair. EPIMs plug into the interface bay on Cabletron hub modules, switch cards and standalone units, and the T variant is the plain copper option: it is what was fitted when the uplink from a card ran to another device in the same room or comms cabinet rather than over fibre.

Because the bay is common across the family, an EPIM-T can be swapped for a fibre or AUI module later without replacing the host card. These are small, frequently moved parts and are commonly bought as spares for equipment still in service. This family began at Cabletron Systems, moved to Enterasys in 2001 and became part of Extreme Networks in 2013. Tech-Star supplies from UK stock with worldwide despatch.
