Agilent

Agilent Technologies was created in 1999 when Hewlett-Packard separated its test and measurement, semiconductor and components businesses from its computing arm. Its fibre optic components group produced the HFBR and HFCT transceiver families fitted to early Gigabit Ethernet and Fibre Channel equipment. The semiconductor products division was sold in 2005 and became Avago Technologies, which later merged with Broadcom, so the same HFBR and HFCT part numbers appear under Hewlett-Packard, Agilent and Avago branding depending on the year of manufacture. Tech-Star supplies new and refurbished Agilent hardware including HFBR5601 850nm multimode GBIC transceivers, HFCT5611 1310nm single mode GBIC transceivers and HFBR-5720ALP multimode SFP transceivers. Refurbished Agilent optics remain in demand because switches of that generation accept only transceivers they recognise. Submit any Agilent part number via the enquiry form for current pricing, condition information and availability.
